Pastor Lisa Telomen is Grace's "administrative" pastor, overseeing the program ministries of Grace, including four of our five mission-related committees, the Adult Education committee, and the Evangelism committee. She is also the pastor in charge of our confirmation program for 8th graders and, in conjunction with the Evangelism committee, also oversees our new (adult) member classes. Pastor Lisa also supports Grace's Christian Education and Youth Ministry staffs as well as our Parish Nurse Ministry and our Open Doors Ministry team, which reaches out to persons/families with special needs. Pastor Lisa also oversees the work of the NOW Council, which encompasses all program ministries of Grace.
Pastor Lisa completed her B.A. in Political Science and French at North Central College in Naperville in 1983 and completed her Master's of Divinity at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1987. A year of study was done in Strasbourg, France, toward each of these degrees. Pastor Lisa was ordained a Deacon in 1987 and an Elder in the Northern Illinois Conference in 1994. She has served parishes across the Northern Illinois Conference, including rural, small town, county seat, Chicago, and Chicago suburban congregations. At each of these parishes, in addition to pastoring and preaching, Pastor Lisa enjoyed ministry with children and youth and coordinated many mission trips for youth and adults, confirmation programs, etc., as well as developed evangelism and stewardship programs to help grow membership and ministry at each church.
Pastor Lisa is married to Rodney Telomen, RN, who works at Edward Hospital in Naperville. They have two sons, Christopher and Jeffrey.
Pastor Lisa came to serve at Grace in August, 2005.
