When “Spiritual but not Religious” is not Enough: Seeing God in Surprising Places, Even the Church by Lillian Daniel (senior pastor of the First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn). Have you ever found God in an unusual place, such as an airport, a prison, a yoga class, a committee meeting? This humorous and sincere book relates some interesting short stories about finding God in unexpected places. The author takes issue with those she identifies as spiritually lazy who say they opt for a personal faith experience outside of a church and emphasizes what a wonderful and fulfilling experience belonging to a church community can be.
