Giving Thanks and Getting Ready Drive-Thru

We are excited to offer a time of “Giving Thanks” for all that God has given you and “Getting Ready” for the promise of His Son during Advent on Sunday, November 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. as a drive-thru experience under the portico at the Worship Center Entrance. 

We will be “Giving Thanks” for all of  God’s generosity toward us by receiving our annual Noisy Offering (click here to learn more about Noisy Offering and Feed My Starving Children) as a Drive-Thru Drop-Off. Choristers with “noisy” pots will be ready to greet you under the portico at the Worship Center Entrance. We are hoping you have continued to collect your spare change just as you always have and will be willing to drop it in our kettles to support the mission of Feed My Starving Children again this year.  All monetary donations will be accepted – even the very “unnoisy” paper kind as well as checks made out to Grace United Methodist Church (memo: Noisy Offering). We will provide you with an Advent Kit to help you “Get Ready” to celebrate the Incarnation – God With Us – right in your own home! The Advent Kits will include items like “A Reverse Advent Calendar” that will benefit the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry
(click here to learn more about the Reverse Advent Calendar), a supply kit or instructions to make an Advent wreath at home (more details to come), Advent Resources for adults and much more.  We cannot all be together physically, but we can still gather to share in the communal experience throughout our Advent season.
