Hesed House Scarves

For Grace’s night at Hesed House in October, Margaret and Bob Schmitt took almost 80 scarves that Margaret Harrison hand knitted. The men and women at Hesed House were invited to choose a scarf.

Margaret is still busy knitting and has made another three dozen that she has put into a donation box at Sunrise Assisted Living Home on Chicago Avenue.

When Kayda, the Activities Director at Sunrise, found out what Margaret was busy doing, she had the idea for Sunrise to collect coats, scarves, hats, gloves and socks that will be donated to Hesed House in December in honor of Margaret.

Margaret also surprised Kayda, who welcomed her first baby in October, with a blanket for her little baby boy. Margaret thoroughly enjoys helping people and this has been a great way for her to continue doing so.
