Thank you for a wonderful Virtual VBS 2020

On behalf of the participants, families, and friends of Grace United Methodist Church who participated in the first-ever Virtual Vacation Bible School, I would like to thank those listed below for hearing God's voice and responding.  It took a village to ensure that VBS would happen.  In addition to all who were praying for VBS, a total of 12 registered adults,  9-Teens, 5-Apprentices, 18-Preschoolers and 40-Elementary age children participated and/or served in some capacity.  We allowed Jesus to lead the way!  
 
As we continue to do ministry as a church, we have learned to adjust and shift with what is happening without sacrificing the journey called "faith formation".  This year's VBS experience reminded me of Christopher Miles Ritter's Introduction in "Seven Things John Wesley Expected Us to Do for Kids".  Ritter shares that, as he joined the ranks of clergy, he was asked, "Will you diligently instruct the children in every place?"  His response, "I said I would ... and I meant it."   Our focus has not changed, only the circumstance have.  A deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the courage to share the Good News is what we are called to nurture in children and ourselves.   So as we presented a virtual experience this year, it was truly an answer to the call that was given.  To God be the glory!  We serve a Mighty God and He is faithful to walk with us and show us the way He wants us to go.  May we keep going, believing, trusting, praying, and leading the next generation towards Christ alone!
