This Month and Beyond: Upcoming at Grace
Children’s Sabbath — Children’s Sabbath Celebration Sunday will be held on October 16 at 9:30 a.m. We’ve begun collecting felt hand cut outs, and would like everyone to lend a hand to this project and then come and see the result during the service. Materials will be available in Faith Formation classes and the Activity Center each Sunday as well as in the church office leading up to October 16. Contact Chamus Burnside-Savazzini for more.
Men Talk Drug Use —The Fellowship of Christian Men’s “Forum” event on Friday, October 21 will welcome Rick Tucker — (former Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) — to discuss “Changes in Illicit Drug Use.” Dinner is at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Contact Bob Pacanowski for more information.
Leaf Raking Day — The Trustees are gathering a group on Saturday, November 5 at 8 a.m. to rake leaves. Join them and help keep Grace’s grounds neat. Those in need service hours are encouraged to attend. Coffee and donuts will be available.
Sponsors Needed for All-Saints Orchestra — The Chancel Choir will commemorate All-Saints with John Rutter’s “Requiem” on Sunday, November 6, at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. Please honor the memory of loved ones, or dedicate this sacred event by sponsoring an orchestral player for the All-Saints Memorial Orchestra. Save the Date for Gift of Love — Grace Church’s annual Christmas benefit concert will be held on Sunday, December 18 at 3 p.m. Plan to attend this grand tradition of Grace.
Feed The Need — Grace Church is partnering with faith-based and secular communities on February 18 and 19, 2017, to hand pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. Save the date and watch for more information.
