On behalf of every child, apprentice, teen and adult that heard God’s word through the VBS Ministry, thank God for YOU, Grace UMC family and friends! God is faithful! You generously gave of your time, talents and resources, and we will forever be grateful. Thank you to Betsy and Reid Koepnick for selflessly taking charge of making sure VBS was all it could be and more, taking every detail into account. You are a blessing! VBS has many moving parts and teams: Directors, registration set up, planning, material preparation, snacks, facility set up, office and support staff, United Methodist Women, prayer partners, crafts, music, recreation, teachers, coordinators, apprentices, teens, nursery, decorating, trustees, finance, Church Council, photography, A/V and church leadership in general. No one person could pull this off; we all did it TOGETHER! The joy in the children’s faces during VBS week and their conversations connecting to the daily Bible story, as well as the energy they showed when singing with the “River Rafters,” was so inspiring.
The VBS scripture was, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” Isaiah 43:2.
The VBS team knew and felt that God and all members of Grace UMC were with us. God calls us to share the Gospel and to make disciples of all nations. We may not see the fruit of our labor in this lifetime but we can surely say we were obedient in fulfilling the call!
We found Adventure, Acceptance, Joy, Rest and Peace on the Rolling River Rampage and we pray that we all find the same as we continue to serve and worship at Grace!
We are thankful for the United Methodist Women, who made our second annual VBS Friends and Family night a huge success! It is beautiful when ministries partner together to fulfill the mission of the church by reaching out to the next generation. Thank you for accepting the challenge and for making it happen!
Thank you for unwavering love and support ~ Chamus Burnside-Savazzini, Betsy and Reid Koepnick
