Courageous Conversations on Culture and Race

Sunday, March 18, 2018

In 2017, the Northern Illinois Conference hosted a "Courageous Conversation" dialogue. A group of inspired members from Community UMC and Grace UMC thought it was important to have this dialogue in our own backyards and answered the call to action to continue the conversation.

You are invited to take part in the final session in this series on Sunday, March 18, at Community United Methodist Church from 1:15 p.m. - 4:30 pm. On Sunday, March 18, we will be discussing part two of the movie “13th”. We will be viewing the movie together prior to the discussion.

This session will be led by a trained professional with a United Methodist background.

Conversations about race can seem intimidating and uncomfortable and that is why this group wanted to create a safe space for members to share and build deeper community. We hope that many can attend and have a rich dialogue.

This event is free but registration is greatly appreciated. Contact Chamus Burnside-Savazzini (chamus@peopleofgrace.org) for more information.
