Director of Music
Dan Wagner's great passion and life's work have been in the areas of Church Music and Worship. He has been a pioneer in developing engaging worship in all styles from high liturgical to current contemporary music. As a choral conductor, Dan has developed highly regarded church choral ministries with a special flair for a diversity of style, from Renaissance to Gospel. He and his wife, singer/songwriter Vickie Wagner sang professionally for many years as past members and soloists in the Phoenix Bach Choir and the Minneapolis Bach Choir.
Dan has served as a clinician, worship leader and guest conductor at the national level, teaching on topics of worship theology and design to choral techniques for volunteer singers, choral pedagogy, to the stylistic performance of Gospel music. His choirs have toured and appeared in highly select venues including performances for the American Choral Directors of America, the national conferences of major denominations and the Billy Graham Crusades.
Dan lives in Winfield, and he and Vickie have two adult children, John and Natalie, both of whom are active as choral singers at Grace Church.
