Grace Parent's Day Out

2018-2019 Registration Dates:

Sunday, January 14, 2018 - 9:15-11 a.m. for Grace UMC Families in the Activity Center (upper level)
Tuesday, January 16  - 9 a.m.- 1p.m. for Grace UMC Families in the PDO office (lower level)
Wednesday, January 17 in Fellowship Hall (enter at Entrance #4 at the lower/back side of the church):  
9:15 a.m. for current families, alternates and alumni
10 a.m. for community families

2017-2018 Application Form

Parent's Day Out (PDO) is a childcare program for children ages one to four years old on or before September 1.  As an outreach ministry, we serve families in our Grace Church congregation, Naperville, and surrounding communities and follow the District 203 school calendar.  Children have an opportunity to create, sing, learn, and play in a Christian, nurturing, caring, and safe environment.

Registration for the upcoming school year begins in January and continues throughout the year to fill classes and to be on our Alternate/Waiting List.  Parent/Guardians register their child to attend one day per week, September-May, from 9am-1pm.  Our program uses Entrance #3 (a secured entrance for the children's area) for dropping off and picking up children within the church building.  Children do not need to be toilet trained.  All classrooms have changing tables and bathrooms.

Experienced and dedicated staff provide a 1:4 ratio for one and two year olds in classrooms for 8 children and a 1:5 ratio for three and four year olds in classrooms for 10 children.  Our staff receives yearly training and certification in First Aid/CPR.

A typical daily schedule at Parent's Day Out includes:

  • Singing--all ages of children together
  • Indoor or outdoor gross motor time (weather permitting)
  • Snack--provided by PDO
  • Crafts
  • Circle Time (storytelling, finger plays, Bible story)
  • Lunch--provided by parents/guardians
  • Free play
  • Diaper changes/bathroom

Tuition is $25/day, per child, and is due the first week of each month.  Payments may be made in cash or by check payable to Grace United Methodist Church.  Please see application form for applicable fees.
